Workshops for Teams and Leaders

I design and facilitate workshops for organizations that see their people as their most important asset and want their leaders to lead with more clarity. I started my career as a teacher and have a master’s in educational psychology, so my workshops are built around how adults actually learn: short teaching, a lot of practice, and examples from your team’s real situations. People leave with something they can use the following week. Workshops run in person or virtually, and range from 90 minutes to a full day.

Confident Conversations
How to prepare for and hold the conversations people tend to put off, including giving feedback and receiving it without getting defensive. Draws on Crucial Conversations, Radical Candor, and Harvard Business Review’s work on difficult conversations.

Accountability
Setting clear expectations and following up when they aren’t met. Managers practice holding people accountable in a way that keeps trust intact.

Communication Across Styles
Using the PDP ProScan, StrengthFinder, or Hogan assessment, team members learn how they and their colleagues prefer to work and communicate, and what to do when those styles clash.

Leading Through Change
For managers guiding their teams through growth, reorganization, or new leadership. We focus on what to say, when to say it, and how to handle the questions they can’t answer yet.

Coaching Skills for Managers
Managers learn to ask questions that draw out their people’s best thinking, not just hand out answers. We practice coaching questions for one-on-ones and goal-setting conversations, along with listening skills from Nonviolent Communication (NVC) that help managers hear what someone needs underneath what they’re saying.

How it works
Every workshop starts with a conversation about your team. I’ll ask what’s going on, who will be in the room, and what you want people doing differently afterward, and then tailor the content and examples to fit. Workshops can stand alone or be part of a longer leadership development cohort.
